Day 1: Arrival in Santiago
Begin your journey in Santiago, Chile’s bustling capital, in a valley surrounded by the Andes. Explore key landmarks, including Plaza de Armas with its historic cathedral, La Moneda presidential palace, and the charming Paris-Londres neighborhood. End the day with a cable car ride up San Cristobal Hill, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the city and mountains.
Day 2: Valparaíso Excursion
Travel to the coastal city of Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its colorful hillside homes and vibrant street art. Walk through the bohemian neighborhoods of Alegre and Concepción hills, visit the historic Sotomayor Square, and learn about the city’s maritime heritage. Enjoy lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean before returning to Santiago.
Day 3: Flight to Puerto Natales
Fly south to Puerto Natales, the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park. This charming town on the shores of Last Hope Sound is surrounded by stunning fjords and mountains. Enjoy a free evening to explore the waterfront, try local cuisine, or simply relax before the upcoming adventures.
Day 4: Torres del Paine National Park
Journey into Torres del Paine, one of the most breathtaking national parks in the world. Stop at Cueva del Milodón, a prehistoric cave where remains of an ancient giant sloth were discovered. Inside the park, admire spectacular landscapes, including Lago Nordenskjöld, Lago Pehoé, and the striking Cuernos del Paine. Keep an eye out for guanacos, condors, and possibly even a puma.
Day 5: Grey Glacier Boat Tour
Depart for one of Patagonia’s most incredible experiences: a boat trip to Grey Glacier. Walk along a pebble beach before boarding a boat that sails through floating icebergs toward the massive glacier. Admire the deep blue ice formations and take in the dramatic scenery. Disembark at a viewpoint for stunning glacier views before returning to Puerto Natales.
Day 6: Base Las Torres Hike
Take on the challenge of the famous Base Las Torres trek, a demanding but rewarding 20km hike. Cross rivers, ascend through valleys, and pass through dense forests before reaching the breathtaking viewpoint at the base of three towering granite spires. After taking in the incredible scenery, begin the descent back to Puerto Natales.
Day 7: Balmaceda & Serrano Glaciers
Cruise through the Ultima Esperanza fjord to reach Bernardo O’Higgins National Park. Along the way, witness stunning Patagonian landscapes, spot native wildlife, and visit the impressive Balmaceda and Serrano glaciers. Enjoy a unique whiskey-tasting experience with ancient glacial ice before returning to Puerto Natales.
Day 8: Puerto Natales to Punta Arenas
Spend your last morning in Puerto Natales shopping for souvenirs or strolling along the waterfront. Then, travel to Punta Arenas, the capital of Chilean Patagonia. Take the afternoon to explore the city, visit its historic sites, or relax before the next day’s adventure.
Day 9: Whale Watching Expedition
Wake up early for an incredible 10-hour whale-watching journey through the Strait of Magellan. Board a boat and navigate through breathtaking fjords, spotting marine life such as humpback whales, sea lions, Magellanic penguins, and dolphins. Enjoy the pristine Patagonian waters and return to Punta Arenas by evening.
Day 10: Return to Santiago
Take a morning flight back to Santiago, where you’ll have the rest of the day free to explore the city at your own pace. Visit museums, go shopping, or enjoy a final Chilean meal before the end of your trip.
Day 11: Departure from Chile
